Virtual Clinical Trials in Migraine

Migraine is the first indication in which Healint proposed its service for virtual clinical trials. Leveraging on our 3 millions user base, we demonstrated our ability to recruit fast, collect data with high quality and deliver extensive reports.

Migraine is the 3rd most prevalent disease in the world. It is often diagnosed late and finding the right treatment can take years if even possible. For people with migraine, quality of life can be severely diminished.

Healint’s objective has always been and will always be to help patients who suffer. Thanks to our Migraine Buddy app, users have identified triggers and treatments or procedures that work for them. It is a great help for neurologists who are our best advocates. One of the ways to help people, is to make precision medicine move forward and identify in clinical trials, or in real life studies, either new treatments, or what is the best treatment for each individual.

Based on our knowledge of the disease and the amount of data we have already collected, we can increase the speed of trials for this neurological disorder. The highest standard of quality we apply to ourselves is reflected in the way we manage studies for our clients.

The tools we have developed can be adapted to fit your protocol and objectives. Of course, our interface is used as an e-diary to collect migraine episodes, their duration, pain intensity and any other parameters needed for the study. In addition, we manage the following scales (and more) for your other endpoints:

HIT-6

(PRO)

The Headache Impact Test is a scale used to assess 6 domains affected by headache: pain, social functioning, role functioning, cognitive functioning, vitality and psychological stress. It is used to monitor how migraine headaches affect patients in their day-to-day lives and score any change after an intervention. It takes only a couple of minutes to complete and, when the study is conducted by Healint, respondents can use their own device in a friendly and intuitive interface.

MSQ

(PRO)

The Migraine Specific Quality of Life Questionnaire measures how migraine affects daily social- and work-related activities, as well as emotions associated with migraine. Patients answer the questions in our HeRO™ tool and we compute the final score automatically to avoid any human error.

MIDAS

(PRO)

The Migraine Disability Assessment questionnaire is also a measure of the impact of headaches of the lives of people who suffer from migraine. It is used in trials, but also regularly in private practices. Some questions can be answered directly from the eDiary completed by the patient. We run logic-checks and edit-checks to ensure the reliability of the data.

Others

(PRO)

Other PRO scales are frequently used in Migraine clinical trials, such as PHQ-9, SF-36, or EQ-5D-5L. We run these scales as well: check on this page.
